Andrey Kuzkin, a dynamic artist renowned for his deep performances and actions. His artistic exploration studies meditative practices and the intricate relationships between humans and time. In addition to performance art, Andrey's creative repertoire includes drawing, painting, installation, and sculpture, allowing him to express his concepts through multiple mediums.
Andrey's projects have been showcased at prestigious venues, including the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the Stella Art Foundation. His impressive list of participations includes the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art (2010), the Parallel program of the 54th Venice Biennale (2011), the Performa Biennale in New York (2011), and the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (2015, 2019). He also participated in the Garage Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art (2020) and many other significant exhibitions.
Recognized for his contributions to contemporary art, Andrey is a two-time winner of the Kandinsky Prize (2016, 2021), a two-time winner of the Innovation Prize (2008, 2017), and a three-time recipient of the Soratnik Prize (2009-2011). In 2017 and 2018, he was featured in the Russian Art Investment Rating 49ART, highlighting outstanding contemporary artists under the age of 50.
His works are held in esteemed collections, including the Centre Pompidou, the National Museum of Gdansk in Poland, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the National Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, the Archive of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Stella Art Foundation in Moscow, as well as the BREUS Foundation and the collection of Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin.
