Dia Munoz, a multidisciplinary artist born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in 1989. Dia's artistic journey began with her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York, which she completed in 2014. She continued her education at Central Saint Martins in London, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Future Materials in 2019. Her thesis, focusing on the microbiota in newborns, led to exhibitions in Milan, Eindhoven, and the Naturalis Museum in Leiden, Netherlands.
In 2021, Dia held her first solo shows at N.A.S.A.L Gallery in Guayaquil and No Lugar in Quito. She also participated in a group exhibition parallel to the Cuenca Biennial at the Museum of Metals. In 2022, she showcased her work in another solo exhibition at Ponce + Robles in Madrid. Dia has been actively involved in prestigious art fairs such as ARCO Madrid, Parc Lima, and NADA Miami, showcasing her innovative approach to contemporary art.
