Irina Drozd encapsulates the realms of childhood and imagination, as well as a basic element of our livelihood: eating. "In my works I often use the symbol of red food as a symbol of beauty, life, blood and victims at the same time. The red food on the table is not just the food, but the images of creatures that are sacrifice for us," he points out, referring to the symbolic relationship with food, which modern humans rarely experience today, if they have this dimension at all.
With her designs, Irina Drozd invites us to take a double journey in time: firstly, to our childhood, when we were still living certain moments in their entirety, and secondly, to a previous state of cultural existence that is not yet "disenchanted.
