  • Joy Kloman is one of the selected artists for the upcoming DOM Art Residence in collaboration with the cultural association Artists Residencies as part of the fourth edition of ExtrArtis @extrartis in August 2025 in Sorrento, Italy. 
  • Based in Hood River, Oregon (USA), Joy is a painter and educator whose career spans continents and institutions. Formerly a tenured Associate Professor of Art at the University of Mississippi, she has mentored countless emerging artists and taught drawing abroad in London. She holds an MFA from the University of Florida and a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute.
  • Joy’s artistic practice is rooted in material exploration and narrative, often developed through international residencies. Her work has emerged from immersive experiences in Latvia (hosted by the Rothko Museum), Slovenia, Hungary, and Sardinia—and will soon continue in Lisbon, Paris, and Vashon Island thanks to a Ford Family Foundation grant.
  • Her paintings have been exhibited internationally, including the Setouchi Triennale in Japan, and are part of both private and public collections, such as the Ringling Museum of Art, the Pensacola Museum of Art, the Meridian Museum of Art, and institutions across Europe.
