Peter Moosgaard
Peter began his academic journey studying philosophy before transitioning to Visual Media at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, where he further enriched his experience with a study stay at TAMA ART University in Tokyo under Prof. Akihiro Kubota.
In 2010, he was a co-founder of TRAUMAWIEN, a publishing platform dedicated to digital literature and experimental publishing practices. As a member of the social artist group WochenKlausur from 2007 to 2015, Peter embraced the idea that societal change can be achieved through art. He completed his Diploma MA in Digital Art in 2012 and a Bachelor of Art & Education, also at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
Peter's work encompasses various professional roles as an artist, journalist, and lecturer, leading to international exhibitions in media art and film across over 16 countries. Notable venues include MAK in Vienna, the Donaufestival in Krems, Jeu de Paume in Paris, the 19th MediaArt Biennale WRO, MIT in Massachusetts, Ars Electronica 2015, WORM in Rotterdam, Sight+Sound in Montreal, IMPAKT in Utrecht, and Bauhaus University in Weimar. In 2018, he was honored with the Grand Austrian State Scholarship for Fine Arts.
