In my current work, the titles often refer to psychological states, to anxiety, stress, or simply a vague unease. The paintings are aesthetic, even soothing, yet the titles suggest that something is amiss. The wildly growing, floral motifs express a force that flourishes endlessly and needs no human intervention. For me, the paintings represent a connection between man and nature, a fragile system that is more complex and larger than the earthly worries and motives of present-day societies.
