The series “A la mierda tu censura”, created during an art residency in Sitges, Spain (2023), explores themes of creative freedom and self-expression through corporeality and the artist’s expressive interaction with materials. These abstract, double- sided canvases — dynamic and sensual abstractions on one side and depictions of nude f igures on the other — stand as a challenge against censorship and advocate for the body’s right to openly exist within the realm of art. The paintings, measuring a total length of 12 meters, were exhibited suspended from the ceiling, inviting viewers into a performative act of engagement as they physically ascended a spiral staircase, immersing themselves in the multidimensional nature of the work. Executed expressively, with the artist applying paint using his entire body in moments of emotional intensity, the series embodies a painterly manifestation of internal freedom and defiance against societal taboos. The series “A la mierda tu censura” is not merely an artistic statement against limitations but also a philosophical reflection on the relationship between artist, viewer, and societal norms, highlighting the body as a universal and natural component of culture and aesthetics.
